Oak Tree Barn is a family-friendly and dog-friendly barn conversion with a wonderful level garden in a peaceful setting on the edge of the unspoilt village of Thurloxton, in the foothills of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Detached, full of character and with French windows from the spacious double height living area onto the large fully enclosed lawned garden and patio, the barn has a sociable open plan living space and a large wood-burner for out-of-season holidays or short breaks. The layout is flexible and fun too – with the double bedroom on its own private mezzanine level.
Situated on the far edge of the grounds of Thurloxton Manor, with plenty of off-road parking and a shared tennis court in the adjoining meadow, there is also a welcoming invitation to explore the 12 acres of meadow and woodland here. There are sometimes horses grazing in the fields so they may need a rub on the nose!
The owners' friendly help is at hand should you need it and yet their manor house is completely out of sight, with separate access, beyond a wonderful copse of ancient trees.
The setting here is ideal for two families on holiday together as Orchard Barn (3289), sleeping three guests, is close enough for you all to enjoy each other's company yet set well apart so that they do not overlook each other. With their own secluded gardens, privacy is ensured when booked separately.
