The Deckhouse is a totally unique field pavilion in a gorgeous rural setting with lovely meadow views, halfway between the Vale of Taunton and Exmoor National Park. The pavilion comes complete with verandah, classic painted white pillars and whitewashed wooden panelling. Set in a private location to one side of the family-friendly farmstead at Middle Stone Farm this location is also a short and easy drive from the West Somerset coast with sandy beaches at Minehead and Blue Anchor and an amazing pebbled Jurassic beach at Kilve. You can even travel to the seaside on the West Somerset Steam Railway for a really fabulous day out! Inside, there is a delightful Scandinavian feel that that has been brought to life with a clearly artistic eye, from the bright colours against the whitewashed wooden walls, down to the tiniest imaginative details to discover that will delight children – whilst the 'glamping' creature comforts will go down well with the grown ups! The Deckhouse is surprisingly spacious, with a lovely double bedroom and king-size bed at one end, an open plan living area in the centre that includes a sofa with colourful cushions and throw for bedtime stories, a really large shower-room and at the other end the cosy little bunk bedroom (beds are 2'6" wide and recommended for children). There is a wood-burning stove for any chilly evenings – or simply for that lovely atmosphere at bedtime after a day out in the fresh air and the smell of wood-smoke (along with a glass of wine) on the verandah after the children have gone to bed.
