This stylish and wonderfully comfortable single-storey holiday home is set above the picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey with outstanding views along the coast... all the way to Devon on a good day! The contemporary interior is perfect for families with three bedrooms, a newly fitted kitchen, a sitting-room with low windows to encompass the view and a separate dining-room for family meals or board games in the evening. The harbour is a ten minute walk down hill, a small working port with trawlers, dinghies and yachts moored safely inside the high stone breakwater and tea-rooms, ancient pubs and inviting local shops to explore. Returning to the comfort of Mariners Lookout is a treat, a lovely home for family 'together' time and holiday relaxation.
Mariners Lookout is set above the hustle and bustle of the village, enjoying a peaceful location from which to appreciate the views. Beautifully decorated and presented to an extremely high standard, this contemporary detached property is a real home-from-home. There are high quality Bosch appliances in the kitchen and a family Sky package to keep everyone happy. The enclosed garden is safe for children, and a travel cot and high chair are provided for little ones, along with books and games. Mevagissey is a quintessential Cornish fishing village with colourful terraced cottages crowding the narrow streets and trawlers landing the freshest fish on the harbourside (you can often buy a few choice specimens direct from the fishermen). There is a small harbourside beach at low tide, with beaches at Pentewan, Portmellon and Gorran Haven just minutes away by car. The narrow streets are a surprise to first time visitors, harking back to bygone days before the invention of the motor car (but don't worry, there is an alternative route to Mariners Lookout!). Local produce is found in the village and beyond, with pasties, clotted cream, saffron buns, hevva cake and delicious ice creams top of the agenda. Heligan Gardens lie on the outskirts of the village, a delight to explore and with the renowned Lobb's Farm Shop right next to the car park selling wonderful local produce, you can rustle up delicious meals to linger over at leisure while taking in the wonderful views all along the coast. The Eden Project, the sailing town of Fowey and the pretty village of Charlestown with tall ships moored in the harbour (as featured in Poldark) are a short drive away, with the north coast surfing beaches less than an hour away.
