The whitewashed walls, crystal chandeliers, sumptuous linens and lovely artwork in The Snug combine with vintage finds and beautiful soft furnishings to prove beyond doubt that good things come in small packages. Touches of warming colour and bygone style are combined to create the most wonderfully relaxed and welcoming retreat, perfect for couples who want to enjoy some precious time together. Lovely walks through the Luxulyan Valley, well-kept cycle paths and various Cornish gardens will tempt you out, and there is a footpath to a local pub. Tucked down a pretty tree-lined lane amidst tranquil countryside, The Snug has only Little Resugga (2283) and the welcoming but unobtrusive Owner as neighbours, ensuring peace and relaxation for all.
The Snug's open plan living-room has a small kitchen-area (with a 2 ring hob and combination microwave) and comfortable armchairs in which to sit back with a good book or two. The bedroom-area has an ornate Victorian-style metal bedstead with a super-comfy mattress, adorned with pretty cushions and a soft quilted throw. The separate shower-room lies beyond, with its big shower cubicle and drench-head shower. Outside, there is a sheltered sitting area at the front of the cottage, overlooking a gravelled courtyard with central feature, great for sitting in the sun with a morning coffee or relaxing with an evening glass of wine. The Eden Project is nearby, a fabulous place to spend a day (or an evening when the Eden Sessions take place). Beautiful Charlestown harbour with its historic tall ships, the sailing town of Fowey and the ancient stannary town of Lostwithiel are all within five miles and awaiting exploration.
