Amazing place to watch the wildlife , saw and heard woodpeckers , rabbits , squirrels and of course the resident pheasant . Excellent location to visit the lower part of Cornwall . Quiz night at the local was enjoyable . Very relaxing holiday

Amazing outside space. We have 2 large dogs and they loved the outside space, as we did too. We felt totally private and away from the hustle and bustle of the popular tourist areas, yet all these places were easy to get to for visiting and then escaping back to the peace of our holiday home for the week. We were so lucky with the weather too, having lunch outside was lovely. Be aware though we were a little shocked when someone came into the garden and we were walking in the woodland with the dogs. They had gone when I got down to see who they were, but it became apparent that they were just opening up the summer house. The next day we heard a car on the gravel, this turned out to be the gardener, who was very nice and he made a fuss of the dogs, who were delighted with the attention (all be it brief as we were on or way out). I would definitely recommend this cottage for families with children the garden and woodland are magical. The house, although it needs some attention, it is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Would love to go again sometime but it is expensive for just 2 people really, but we really wanted the space that it offered, so maybe we will treat ourself at some point in the future....

Had an amazing week staying at Goldencock Cottage. The cottage is everything you could hope for and the garden is simply breathtaking. It is obvious that the house and garden is very loved and well maintained by the owners.We had fabulous weather and spent many hours enjoying the garden and the outdoor facilities. Already booked again for next year!!!...

The cottage far exceeded our expectations and the photos don’t do it justice. We had a fabulous week in a beautiful property and location. The cottage feels very secluded but is actually close to lots of great places to visit. Would happily re-book this cottage if we have the opportunity to return....
