We loved our week stay at Blakesley Cottage. Its location along a quiet country lane in the heart of the Isle of Wight countryside meant that we had a very peaceful stay. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and we quickly felt at home. Our hosts were near to hand and were welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Blakesley Cottage. Its situation in a quiet country lane with little traffic was a little haven of peace & tranquility. The cottage is very well equipped, clean , cosy & homely. We stayed as a couple so had plenty of room to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting in the back conservatory looking out into the large grounds, making it feel like a big back garden. On arriving back after a day out exploring the island we felt like we were coming home. It was a bonus that we could walk 1/2 mile up the lovely country lane to a pub for dinner in the evening. Apparently you can also take a 20 minute walk on a footpath into Godshill village but the wet evening weather didn't allow us to try this but during summer months that would be a bonus too....
