At one end you'll discover two sofas and an armchair nestled around the flickering wood-burner, perfect for socialising and relaxing after a busy day out exploring the coastal paths.

The gardens are truly stunning.
A cottage steeped in smugglers history. The notorious Carter family were born here as explained on the plaque outside the barn.

Take the open-tread spiral staircase up to the first floor. We suggest bringing along your slippers or non slip socks for the stairs as they can be slippery.
Smugglers Barn has two games areas, this one has a fantastic pool table located in the utility-room.
Step into the inviting kitchen which overlooks the garden and is designed for sociable evening cooking and equipped to make the finest supper for your guests.
Washing up won't seem like a chore with such a wonderful view to admire...
The large farmhouse dining-table lies at the other end of this room and is the perfect spot for long leisurely lunches and more formal dinners.
There is a handy cloakroom next to the kitchen. You can see the door slightly ajar (to the left).
The main bedroom has a rather lovely en suite shower-room.
Bedroom 1 overlooks the gardens.
Bedroom 2 boasts a 'zip and link' bed, which can either be two singles or a king-size (you choose).
Bedroom 2 also overlooks the gardens.
The rather lovely family bathroom has a free-standing bathtub.

The spacious landing is flooded with natural light.
Lovely bedroom 3 can be made up as a twin or a king-size, you choose!
Sweet bedroom 3 has a lovely view of Pengersick Castle.
Perfect for our younger guests, this games-room is located off the living area.

Smugglers Barn is located just off the road leading down into Praa Sands.
Wander along the coast path to Rinsey Cove.
West Penwith is proud to have International Dark Sky Status, the night skies can be exceptional.
Porthleven is a gorgeous fishing village with a vibrant harbour and a great selection of places to dine.
Praa Sands is simply stunning throughout the year.
Further along the coast the magical village of Mousehole awaits.
The majestic St Michael's Mount (National Trust) can be accessed on foot at low tide and you can catch the little ferry boat when the tide is in.
Spend the day exploring beautiful St Ives on the north coast.
Surfers should head for the Atlantic rollers at Sennen Cove.

Great cottage ,pretty views,. Extremely well equipped . Thoughtful finishing touches such as traditional Cornish Ware, a variety of books a few games also useful toiletry packages and fluffy towels.The property is a few minutes walking distance from a lovely sandy beach and a couple of cafes with friendly welcoming owners. Plenty to do within half hour drive from cottage. Our dog loved the garden which is enclosed.Would definitely recommend and would love to return one day. We spent a very happy week at Smugglers Barn....

Great location and property offers everything you would expect. Qualify bed linen much appreciated, this often overlooked in rental properties. Morning walks on the beach, pre dinner pool competition followed by cosy nights in front of the log burner, a perfect first stay in Praa Sands and Smuglers Barn....

Smugglers Barn is very well equipped and is a great base from which to explore this area of Cornwall. There are plenty of local walks to do all within easy access of the property and places of interest just a short drive away. The large garden makes a wonderful and private space to relax and is great to be dog friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay....

Smugglers Barn is a beautiful place, in a beautiful location. We all loved the pool table and the dogs loved the massive garden. Beach only a short walk away and lovely cafe only 2 mins along the road. We couldn't have wished for more!
