Woodville Cottage

Woodville Cottage is exceptional holiday accommodation. Although it is designed for 4 guests there are two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom with two single beds. Only one parking space and the nearest car park is down a steep hill, but we enjoyed a lovely week. It was hot during the first four days so we walked down through the adjacent woodland path and followed the riverside path to the shore. It is longer but much nicer than using the narrow pathways in Broad Street and Silver Street. The cottage has everything you would need, the lounge is light and airy and can be opened up fully on warmer days, and the patio is a wonderful place to sit in the afternoons, part sun and part shade in June. It is also quite private. There is a lovely view of Stonebarrow from the patio and Golden Cap too from the drive. The road leading to the cottage is narrow and not wide enough for vehicles to pass each other at the top, but Lyme is like that all over, so not a problem for us. Lovely open plan setting with private outdoor space, very comfortable and clean, great for holiday break.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Woodville Cottage. The property was exactly as described, very well appointed and tastefully furnished. The location by the woodland walk was ideal as we were travelling with a furry friend. There is a short hill walk from the centre of Lyme which wasn’t a problem for us. ...

Very comfortable property. Good location but up a hill from the town. Entrance to property onto a small awkward lane but we didn’t use car much as we mainly stayed in Lyme. Pubs and restaurants walking distance. We were a couple and loved the property, the three bedroom are large and there are two bathrooms, the living accommodation is really only big enough for four. Probably ok for 6 in summer when the outside area can be used. Owner Paul very helpful. ...

Woodville Cottage was tastefully decorated, with lovely white towels and bed linen. For the fit, it is in a good location for accessing all that Lyme Regis has to offer. The hill down into town may not suit those not too fit. We had a really lovely week because there is so much to do and so many excellent cafes and eateries. We only used the car once and it stood unused outside the garden gate. Do visit the Museum as it is a joy, and have an ice cream on the Marine Parade before you go on the Cobb. For those wanting retail therapy you are going to have a great time! The Cibo Deli is a must for delicious cakes and bread. Go explore....
