Walnut Tree Lodge

We had an absolutely lovely week at Walnut Tree Lodge. In fact so lovely I tried to extend it! It was cosy but spacious enough for us and our 3 boys. Really well equipped kitchen which we enjoyed cooking in. We really appreciated the welcome pack with tea, coffee, juice, eggs and biscuits. That was really thoughtful. Views from upstairs balcony are great, overlooking the sea and large lawn in front of the lodge. Kids used the pool several times and we had an evening walk down to the viewing point which also had amazing views. We had never been to this area of Cornwall before and I think it is now one of my favourite areas, we will definitely return. Recommend Towan beach and Pendower for swimming, paddle boarding etc with great cafes. And Portscatho was lovely with nice pub, great shop and ice-cream parlour. We were very lucky with the weather so got to enjoy Cornwall at its best. Thank you for a lovely stay!! ...

We loved Walnut Tree Lodge and would stay again in a heartbeat. From the moment we walked in we were wowed by the thoughtful attention to detail and welcoming feel to the lodge. It is very comfortable, immaculately clean and has everything you could need with lovely views over the fields to the sea. The coastal themed decor and muted blue / grey tones throughout added to the holiday feel. The upstairs master suite is delightful, with a cute balcony with seating. Spacious landing area with wardrobes and a huge bathroom with washing machine and drier. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable. As it was just the two of us, we didn’t use the twin bedrooms downstairs. Towan Beach, less than a mile down the road to the NT car park is very unspoiled and beautiful, and has the fab Thirstea Cafe. A mile or so in the other direction brings you to Portscatho, with pubs, cafes and well stocked village store. Highly recommended, thank you!...

Walnut tree lodge is a very comfortable place to stay on an excellent tranquil site, with great views of the sea. The lodge was very clean on arrival with a large comfy queen bed, modern kitchen and good showers. We liked the outside space, swimming pool and the walks to the quay and the nearby towan beach. All in all a relaxing stay with a bit of good weather thrown in. Recommend....

We have stayed at Walnut Tree Lodge on many occasions and keep returning year on year. It is in a quiet location but close to St Mawes and Portscatho where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. The coast paths are always fun and walking from the Lodge to Portscatho is something I love to do, you can then stop and refuel before attempting the steep climb out of the village to get home. Thoroughly recommend....

Somewhat cramped site, but internally well laid out. Good location in respect of sea views, but would have preferred not to have to sort shower seal in bottom bathroom. The smell for a good part of our stay was unpleasant to say the least.
