We enjoyed our stay at The Shack . We were a little disappointed by how much traffic went past the front as we had imagined a much quieter location. The living space is light and airy but we found the bedrooms very small and we are not very big people! Nice easy access to the coastal path to Thorness , but be aware that the beach towards Cowes is only passable at low tide and is very rocky. The alternative route involves a climb up Solent View road and this is also the route to the pub , which is excellent, shop and to Cowes . We felt the location and distances were slightly oversold . Overall a pleasant place to stay although we would probably not book again.

A very well equipped cottage with everything you need for your stay. Having an area at the front of the property to be able to sit looking at the sea and boats, plus an area at the back too where it was secluded and quiet was a bonus.
