This cottage was all we had expected. I always do my homework and we were not disappointed. Very comfortable and cosy in the Autumn evenings. The owners were extremely helpful with anything we needed and the package of goodies left for us were very acceptable....

We had a fantastic stay at this characterful, exceptionally clean and well-equipped house, with lovely fittings and features. The welcome from Nigel and Adele was genuinely friendly and very professional, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The communal gardens, playground, and pool were all beautifully kept, and we enjoyed them a lot. The pool was kept nicely warm, which meant our kids enjoyed long sessions playing in there with the fun inflatables provided. I would definitely recommend the Dominey's Yard cottages....

Poacher's Cottage provided a beautiful base from which to explore the fascinating county of Dorset. We received a warm welcome and basic provisions which meant we didn't have to go shopping after our tedious car journey: the homemade cake was delicious and particularly well-received. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped and maintained, and the swimming pool exceeded our expectations. We had booked the two cottages next to Poacher's Cottage (Gamekeeper's and Woodcutter's) for our extended family and this arrangement was ideal: we were all independent of each other but could share time together easily. The patio areas behind each cottage are separated by attractive wooden fences, which would provide privacy if three branches of the same family weren't staying at the same time, but gates in the fences provided easy access for our families. The children's play area in the beautiful garden is excellent and was much-used by our three-year-old twin grandsons. The bonus was having a pub next door to the cottages: the pygmy goats and the play bus at The Gaggle of Geese pub were other favourites of our grandchildren....
