The shower cubicle is oversized for maximum space and luxury. Please note you have to step up and out of the shower.

Bedroom 2 has 'zip and link' beds, so can be either 2' 6" twins that are perfect for children or a king-size double bed when zipped together.
Another bedroom that benefits from multiple windows.
The mezzanine area has a single bed. Owing to it being a bed on the open mezzanine level this room would suit a teenager.
The mezzanine area is not enclosed so the laughter can be heard throughout the barn as the competition around the table-football heats up.
This barn is for all the family including your trusty four-legged friend.

The Barn is accessed via the lower front door, which is your entry door on arrival. The small guest garden to the front of the barn is not fully enclosed.
Time to walk and talk, enjoy the numerous local walks, not forgetting Dartmoor National Park.

Rural bliss.
The path up to the barn from your own private entrance and parking area. Your area is clearly marked for your enjoyment. Please note that there are steps up from the parking area and the ground is uneven.
The barn sits far enough away from the owners, who are on hand should you require help.
Head up to Brentor Church and be rewarded by this wonderful view, then head back into Tavistock for a coffee.
Dartmoor National Park offers the best of the outdoors and should be explored.
With Dartmoor and the Drake Trail minutes from the barn, remember there is an outhouse to keep your bikes safe and secure.
Pretty Tavistock has some lovely riverside walks.
The ancient Pannier Market in Tavistock takes place every Tuesday and Saturday.

Wonderful welcome after a long drive greeted us as we walked in the door. Also had fresh milk along with tea bags and coffee to make a nice cuppa as soon as we arrived without having to worry about finding a shop. Special welcome basket for our dog too! Kitchen very well equipped, even had scales and a measuring jug. We didn't spend much of the day at the property as we chose it for access to walking on Dartmoor, and consequently didn't spend time sitting in the pretty little garden. Private driveway and gravel path through lovely flower borders leading to the Barn. Single track lane past the property with virtually zero traffic. Great to be out in the countryside away from town life, listening to birds, cows and sheep instead of traffic and neighbours! Amazing bath!! Particularly needed after long walks. The Rock Inn was recommended with very good food and friendly service. Owners on hand if needed, saw them on the first day when they came by to say hello and then on the last day when we said goodbye and thanks. Lovely people. ...

Lovely cottage in great location. Peacefully within the Dartmoor nature reserve, but close to a village with co-op, great bakery, nice cafe to have coffee, petrol station and vet (which we unfortunately needed).
Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
