The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a waterfall shower over the bath.

Porthleven has some amazing restaurants and is a fifteen minute drive away.
Dreamcatcher is very much a winter hideaway too, after a long romantic walk along Praa Sands beach you can return and cosy up in front of the roaring wood-burner.
The enchanting village of Mousehole is a short drive away.
St Michael's Mount - worthy of a trip across the causeway on foot or via the little ferry when the tide is in.

Dreamcatcher is perfectly located to enjoy the wonderful views of St Michael's Mount and has great access to lots of local areas. We visit Cornwall multiple times a year and this property was great for easy access to all our favourite places. The reverse living also makes the most of the stunning views. We found the property was well kitted out and plentiful supplies of toiletries/cleaning products/tea sundries etc. Unfortunately for us however, there we were a few negative aspects during our stay (which may not be a problem at all for others - but worth noting). The property is actually on a complex of flats & houses. It isn't just a semi detached house, it is part of an L shaped complex with all the rear of the properties/balconies obviously facing towards the view. Unfortunately, as Dreamcatcher is on the end, all balconies face towards the hot tub and balcony of dreamcatcher. So unfortunately for us it didn't feel very private at all. On entering the property for the first time, we were hit by the smell of damp and dirty carpets. All the carpets throughout the property could benefit from a deep clean, they are all stained and visibly dirty. The sofas were much the same, but we were able to use the spare clean bed sheets to cover these during our stay. Doors/banisters were sticky and stained as was the internal glass, which was a shame with such a stunning view to look out on. Hot tub had a load of sand and debris in it from previous guests. Generally just felt like the property could do with a fresh lick of paint (the lovely white walls/skirts all marked and discoloured from previous guests) and a deep clean. We also had to ask for additional towels (we were only a party of two so I think this is why only one set each was initially left - but obviously had paid the same price as a party of five guests) The house keeper very kindly dropped some fresh towels off for us midweek. We still had a fantastic week away, Cornwall never disappoints and we realise that some of these issues are due to other guests not being respectful of the property they are staying in. However, it is down to the owners to rectify these issues for the next guests who have paid a premium price (obviously based predominantly on location - views - hot tub). Just feels like the stunning views need to be matched by an equally stunning property and for us it wasn't quite that. ...

We're really sorry to hear that some aspects of the property didn't feel quite as you'd hoped. Your comments have been shared with the owner, who will be visiting shortly to review the carpets, sofas and general presentation after what has been a very busy season. The sofas were cleaned earlier this year, and the owner is already planning a refresh over the winter to help keep the property feeling bright and welcoming. To reassure you, although it is very common for coastal properties in Cornwall to occasionally experience musty smells, due to the building materials commonly used, the proximity to the sea and the more humid environment here, we have never had any previous reports of damp (smell or visible signs) from guests or staff members who have inspected the property. It may be a one-off, but we will keep a close eye on further guest feedback. We'll also look again at the wording around the property's setting, as Dreamcatcher is an end-of-terrace (angular terrace) house and we want guests to have the clearest possible picture before they arrive. The hot tub is emptied, cleaned, sanitised and refilled between each booking, though a few grains of sand can occasionally remain in coastal locations. We're sorry this affected your first impression. We are sorry we had not known about any concerns during your stay; we would have been very happy to help and investigate things for you at the time so that we could have done whatever we could to improve things for you. This is a beautiful cottage furnished to a very high standard. Spectacular views over Marazion and the castle. Great location. Within walking distance of Marazion and the coastal path. Excellent overall ??
