The Coach House is approached along this private road across the Axe Valley. There are footpaths along the river banks for you to enjoy with your dog.
This is the little harbour at Seaton - your closest beach. There is a delightful cafe on the quayside and a wide pebbled bay.
There is a wonderful wood-burning stove for out-of-season breaks - this is the most welcoming of cottages whatever the time of year.

The Coach House is embraced with beautiful flower borders and has its own beautiful gardens, set within the grounds of a country house. There are a couple of steps down to the front door and then one up.
There are beautiful gardens in a set of terraces, with seating to choose from to enjoy this most peaceful setting.

Also very nearby is the fishing village of Beer - well worth a visit. It is like stepping back in time, with fishing boats drawn up on the beach.
This is the river Axe. You cross the river to reach the Coach House and there are footpaths all along the banks.

The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just a five mile drive away, stretching through east Devon and over the border at Lyme Regis into Dorset. Seaton, the nearest beach, is in the distance.
Lyme Regis, such a wonderful iconic town, is a very short drive from The Coach House. Whatever the time of year this is a great place to visit.
Sidmouth is one of the many delightful coastal towns in east Devon. This pebbled beach has plenty of sand at low tide.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage - everything you could need is provided. The property is in a secluded area (accessed by a single track road) in lovely grounds next to the main house. Axminster is a lovely little town and we had good evening meals at the George pub/restaurant and the Italian. We would recommend this as a lovely cottage that’s in easy reach of local attractions....

Very good location within easy driving distance of places to visit. Ideal for a dog. Property definitely spacious enough for 4 adults. Private although next door to the owners.

This is our second visit to the Coach House and it is a really lovely cottage, owned by very nice people and maintained by a really lovely housekeeper and her husband. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable furniture and lovely beds. I would whole heartedly recommend it. Beautiful, peaceful location too!...
