The Coach House is approached along this private road across the Axe Valley. There are footpaths along the river banks for you to enjoy with your dog.
This is the little harbour at Seaton - your closest beach. There is a delightful cafe on the quayside and a wide pebbled bay.
There is a wonderful wood-burning stove for out-of-season breaks - this is the most welcoming of cottages whatever the time of year.

The Coach House is embraced with beautiful flower borders and has its own beautiful gardens, set within the grounds of a country house. There are a couple of steps down to the front door and then one up.
There are beautiful gardens in a set of terraces, with seating to choose from to enjoy this most peaceful setting.

Also very nearby is the fishing village of Beer - well worth a visit. It is like stepping back in time, with fishing boats drawn up on the beach.
This is the river Axe. You cross the river to reach the Coach House and there are footpaths all along the banks.

The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just a five mile drive away, stretching through east Devon and over the border at Lyme Regis into Dorset. Seaton, the nearest beach, is in the distance.
Lyme Regis, such a wonderful iconic town, is a very short drive from The Coach House. Whatever the time of year this is a great place to visit.
Sidmouth is one of the many delightful coastal towns in east Devon. This pebbled beach has plenty of sand at low tide.

Lovely cottage, excellently equipped, in a beautiful location. Very easy to find (directions were great); very quiet and peaceful. Hosts were lovely. We had a fantastic week and hope to return in the future. Lovely welcome pack too!

We have stayed at this property for 4 consecutive years. The standard of the décor, equipment and surrounding gardens are exceptional and would highly recommend this cottage. We were given a very nice welcome pack and the owners did check that everything is OK in the property but they were not intrusive. Easy stay , everything easy to use , locks , heating , showers. Often they aren’t. Quiet and relaxing, lovely to hang out there and come back to , with the River Ax glistening and easy access to walk along , if you want. Lots of mature trees with the accompanying birds. A wonderful holiday cottage, warm, spacious, with helpful owners if needed. Extremely clean. Photos do not do it justice. Two very comfortable, spacious double bedrooms with superb en suite facilities to both. Kitchen is extremely well equipped and sitting / dining room very comfortable. Log burner a great asset to add to the warmth of the heating - we visited in November. Garden areas beautifully kept and plenty of places to sit and take in the views if weather allows! Patio area and furniture / BBQ provided for better weather. A wonderful, peaceful holiday cottage, a short drive to all the main seaside places with plenty of amenities close by. ...
