Bolthole is a beautiful lodge with amazing views in a very peaceful location, but well placed to reach places by car. A short walk to nearest pub and a little further on to a pretty village square. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Loved it

Stylish cottage with superb master bedroom but other 3 bedrooms are small. Comfortable for 3 adults and 1 child but seating a bit limited for 8 if the weather is not suitable for using the terrace. Swimming pool very good, outdoor play areas have limited equipment. Location great for beaches and walks but quite a bit of driving involved to find alternative attractions in bad weather. Limited choice of pubs and shops nearby, Tuesday pizza van great otherwise self-catering best option. New fibre broadband disappointingly slow making pre-booking attractions to comply with covid rules difficult....

Thanks so much for taking the time to review The Bolthole. This lovely property offers sleeping arrangments for eight with one king-size bed, one standard double, one twin room and one bunk-bed room and has a lovely open plan living space - perfect for sociable times with family and friends, with its dining table, breakfast bar and comfy seating. We're sorry you found the internet to be a little slow - we advertise this property has having a standard WiFi package - which is ideal for surfing the web, but the rural location may mean it's a little slower than we would normally be used to. We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon. Tressa, Customer Support...

A stunning lodge in a stunning location.

LOVED the property. Plenty of room for 7 people. Location and surroundings beautiful. The following are NOT complaints but something that the owners/guests might want to be aware of: close proximity to cows meant lots of flies and therefore fly poo everywhere which meant constant cleaning to get rid of it. Fly screens would be a good idea. Also lack of WiFi and phone signal, while lovely for me, meant no work could be done by others at the property itself and this wasn’t made particularly clear at the point of booking. Thank you. ...

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review for The Bolthole and we so pleased that you loved the property as much as we do! Unfortunately flies can be an everyday occurance in some of our more rural locations but we'll certainly pass on your suggestion of fly screens to the owner for their consideration. WiFi and phone signal can also be a little tricky in a rural spot but we have some useful information regarding technology on our website and our Sales team are always on hand if you need any questions answered to help find that perfect holiday base. Fabulous lodge with beautiful sea views. All on one floor. In a beautiful unspoilt corner of Cornwall. Lovely peaceful old-style site with a good indoor pool.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
