A well equipped and spacious apartment. We loved staying here as it had everything we needed and was in a great location.

July 2018

I thought the ferry service was very good and especially with the discount on top. We enjoyed the cottage very much. We liked the space, comfort and decoration. There are two things I would like to state: 1) I am not sure if the property is suitable for disable or old people in a wheelchair since it is located in a steep hill. Probably our fault; I should have checked before. 2) I say poor value for money not for the house but for the management, because four days cost a lot of money and I found unfair to occupy the property only until 3.30pm when most of cottages in England is around 1:00pm and considering the amount of money we paid for 4 days plus a booking fee, it was too expensive. If you have a week to spend probably is not too bad, but when you have only 4 days you want to settle in as soon as possible and especially if you have a disable child or you going with an old grandmother.
We only managed to get the keys at 3pm after asking and putting a bit of pressure at the Seaview office. I would recommend to my friends the actual property, but I would put emphasis on the arrival time, the steep hill and leaving time. I noticed the oven wasn't cleaned professionally. Also, one of the knobs came off easily (very loose) and one of the plate did not work at all. Furthermore, when we were trying the big burner I had the impression that had a bit of gas leaking. I think for the look is an old one... Furthermore, the two lamps on the night table in the double room at the back facing the patio, did not work at all, maybe the bulbs were burnt

Thanks for sharing your full review - we're very pleased that you liked the house and enjoyed your time in the village. Our team on the island have investigated all your points and suggestions (all gas appliances are safety checked each year as a matter of course). We'd always rather chat to guests prior to booking about particular mobility concerns or special requirements, as we want you to be in the best location to enjoy your stay. We do have to stick to arrival times to ensure that the cleaning team have ample time to prepare the property for you - there is normally somewhere nice to stop for a a bite to eat or a chance to explore en route if you've booked an early ferry. Prices for any length break can be viewed on our website prior to booking, so you can have a very accurate idea of cost, and compare properties if you wish. Tanya, Customer Support
