If you were looking for cottages like The Old Railings, how about trying these:

If you want masses of space and a relaxed vibe for a family get-together, this is the place for you! Just yards from the beach at Portmellon Cove on the outskirts of the ancient fishing port of Mevagissey, The Old Railings is big, quirky and fun.

With ample parking, big bedrooms, lots of bathrooms and shower-rooms and plenty of sociable areas, this contemporary house is an ideal holiday home. The house has oodles of space, with a big open hallway, four bedrooms, two bath/shower rooms and a useful utility-room on the ground floor. A bespoke oak staircase leads up to a sitting-area where doors open out to a sheltered patio-area and steps up to a high raised lawn with views of the sea. Two more bedrooms are found on the first floor, one with a dressing-room and en suite shower-room, and the second with twin beds and access to a second family bathroom. The sociable kitchen/dining-room has quirky red chandeliers, a big island unit and an electric range cooker to cater for big gatherings. The big sitting-room has tall windows which allow light to flood in, lots of sofas to lounge around on, and a big TV.

Kayaks, canoes and dinghies can be launched from the nearby slipway and as the tide ebbs, the sandy beach is revealed with enticing rockpools to be explored. The coastal footpath meanders through the cove, north to picturesque Mevagissey and south to pretty Gorran Haven then on towards the Roseland peninsula.
