We had a wonderful week in The Ridings. It is a spacious, clean and relaxing house, and the utility room was particularly useful during a wet and muddy October half term! Tucked just behind Portmellon cove it is a peaceful and lovely place to relax - hidden from busier Mevagissey just round the corner. We enjoyed our daily coffee at The Shack and cider at The Rising Sun, both on the beach front. Excellent location to stay local or explore the coast and countryside.

Much larger house than photos suggest. Really well presented and clean. Only a 15 min walk to Mevagissey and 60 seconds to the local beach.

Our stay at The Old Railings was wonderful, a lovely house and a great location. Highly recommended.

Three generations had a wonderful time at this spacious, bright modern house. Our three granddaughters had a wonderful time paddle boarding etc on the calm sea a few yards from the house, first time ever for a 10 year old and a 12 year old. It was an easy walk into Mevagissey and there are many beautiful beaches and coves a short drive away. Would definitely like to return.

This is a great holiday house in a location that is near to perfect for families. The sea and costal walks are right on your doorstep and Mevagissey is a pleasant short walk for restaurants and more activities. Portmellon itself had plenty for us, with water sports and an excellent pub and food shack.

Ideally located with a short walk to the sandy cove and to M which is delightful Well equipped and very clean with a ample room

This is a very smart, modern, and well-equipped house. We would be quite happy to stay there again in the future.

an excellent property providing excellent holiday accommodation

We used to live in Cornwall, two of my children were born there (one just over the Tamar in Plymouth) and staying at The Old Railings made us want to move back there. All my family loved the house and the location. It was lovely to sit outside the nearby pub with a glass of wine and look at the sea.

The Old Railings was a beautiful house with a welcome tray of fresh scones and clotted cream on arrival. Our family group consisted of my parents (80 & 69) my brother, his wife and their two teenage girls and my wife and I and our teenage daughter and 8yr old twins. There was ample space for us all with plenty of bathrooms etc. The beach at Portmellon was different every day with the tides and the Town of Mevagissey was a delightful short walk away. We will return.

We were very happy with this well equipped spacious holiday home.

Excellent place to stay which I would thoroughly recommend for large groups. Spacious & spotless property with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of room for large family/friend get together. Would return again.
