We enjoyed our stay at Chy Lowen very much. The cottage is amazingly clean, well equipped, decorated with much detail and love and has very comfortable beds! The location was perfect for us. We did not have to drive more than one hour to visit the places we wanted to see. It is in a quiet neighborhood and just offers everything we could have ever wanted! We are definitely recommending it to our friends and coming again, hopefully very soon! :)

Super cottage, very comfortable. Well kept and exactly as described. Would recommend. Folder with local info and recommendations very helpful.

October 2017

We had several queries on arrival and I do have to say they were dealt with promptly by the staff which we did appreciate. Tanya Pascoe was particularly helpful so many thanks to her.

Very comfortable, dog friendly cottage. Loved all the quirky little features in the cottage which created a very cosy ambience, especially when the wood burner was lit. Lots of lovely walks nearby for the dog, definitely recommend going from the first weekend of October, when dogs are allowed back on the beach, it was a dog's paradise.

A sweet cottage in a great location with easy access to the A30 and coastal road but very small and not clean enough or comfortable enough for us. Beware road noise can be disruptive if you are used to quiet at night. Portreath is a lovely village and a little further along the coast Godrevy beach; a beautiful spot with golden sand, beautifully clear water and lighthouse.

Thanks so much for your review of Chy Lowen. It is a traditional cottage so the rooms are smaller than in a modern property. We've not been made aware of particular road noise previously, but as you stayed over the August Bank Holiday, no doubt there were plenty of visitors around in the area and we're sorry if this was disturbing. It's very disappointing to hear of cleanliness concerns retrospectively as we'd always rather sort out a problem there and then, but the owner has confirmed that different housekeeping arrangments have now been put in place.
