A delightful setting with spacious accommodation for a large family

This is a great cottage for a family holiday with young children and a dog. The beach is easily accessed and not at all crowded, even at weekends - perfect for rock-pooling, swimming, building sandcastles and BBQs. The cottage is open-plan so young children can be watched at all times. There are also two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor so if there are party members with mobility problems, this is an ideal set-up. Beautiful woodland surroundings complete the scene.

The property was rustic and very cosy when the underfloor heating came on downstairs but when it went off it was cold as was the upstairs! It would have been nice to be able to turn it on and off when we chose. It was a very cold weekend with snow when we stayed. The kitchen and lounge area were gorgeous and nice to wander down to the private beach. Perfect property for grandparents, my sister and I plus husbands and 3 little ones. Kitchen well equipped and easy to cook and enjoy sitting round the big table together. The travel cot had a base but not a proper mattress like our own so had to pad it out. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We're so pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay at The Priory Coach House, even in the cold weather and snow (very unusual for the Island). We've noted your thoughts re the travel cot - most have just a very slightly padded base rather than a full foam mattress. We would never advise parents to use anything in the travel cot that wasn't designed for it, as this may present a health and safety concern for your little ones. Tanya, Customer Support
