This is a charming cottage of some age, which added to the quirkiness of the slopping floor upstairs and low ceilings. The property was clean and comfortable, liked the bright bathroom and shower room, we were glad of the latter as the stairs are steep and narrow due to the age of the property. The kitchen is spacious and we found everything we needed, lovely large fridge freezer, the dining room with a large table was just off the kitchen up a small step. Situated in an ideal place to walk to a beach, which has a café but we thought they were a bit pricey. Had a very good meal as a treat at the restaurant, 33 ST Helens, on the corner, can highly recommend it, expensive but the food and service was great. The garden was ideal for sitting out and we had a couple of lunches out there using the patio table and chairs. Parking the car off road was good as the road is narrow, but beware of the low wall to one side on the drive and it can be difficult to get in or out of the drive due to parked cars on the road. St Helen's is a lovely quiet place.

Newlands is a fantastic cottage in a great location, it is the perfect base for exploring the island. The cottage itself is like a tardis inside and has a fantastic warm, welcoming feeling about it.
Miss Hopkins July 2021
Cottage has an excellent location, near to lovely restaurants and beach. Was a very nice place to stay.

Newlands Cottage is a charming, deceptively spacious property in a wonderful location. Easy access to the local beach and a good base to explore the Isle of Wight. Highly recommended.
Mr Gregory July 2020
Surprisingly roomy and well appointed cottage. Clean and well maintained. Very quiet mature location with easy walking access to harbour, pub, shop, restaurant.
Mrs Parkes September 2019
Newlands is a wonderfully cosy cottage, perfectly placed for local amenities and an easy walk from the harbour and the beach beyond. We loved sitting in the sun room watching the bird life in the garden and enjoyed the comfy sitting room in the evenings. St. Helens is a perfect base for visiting the island so we’ll definitely be back.
Mrs Ripley July 2019
Lovely cottage with a beautiful garden. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful holiday and plenty of room for four people. It was in a great location and we loved the short walk down to the harbour and sea and then along to St Helens Duver. This was a great base for visiting many parts of the island and we had a brilliant holiday here.
Mrs Edmonds June 2019
A very comfortable, cosy cottage with lots of character.
Mrs Egan April 2019
This was a lovely cottage for our holiday to Isle of Wight. Plenty of room for 3 of us and had a lovely garden that we could sit outside and enjoy. The village has a pub, shop, other places to eat and a park. This was great for us and our toddler. The nearest beach was a short walk away. The cottage had most things you would need for a self catering holiday and was a good base for exploring Isle of Wight.

This is without doubt the best holiday we have had on the Isle of Wight and the best place we have stayed in a very long time. The cottage was perfect in every way and if I could live there I would.
The cottage is very comfortable and homely and the location is perfect, the village is very quiet which is a welcome change but you also have everything you need within a short walk or even shorter drive.
Mrs Owers June 2018
A very comfortable and well equipped good sized cottage and everything of a good quality and in excellent condition. In a very convenient location.
Mrs Fawcett May 2018
The cottage was spotlessy clean and in an ideal location to get about and explore the island both on foot and by car. It had all the equipment you needed for self catering including a decent sized fridge freezer and a range cooker. There were also restaurants with good menus, within walking distance, and the floating Best Dressed Crab on Bembridge harbour also a pleasant walk along the waterfront.(booking essential) The coastal path is very close and a nice walk in the evening. The only draw back for us was the lack off a TV in the conservatory an we spent time in there than the front Lounge as we found this a more pleasant room overlooking the garden and getti g the evening Sun. Overall a very nice stay.
Mr Lyons April 2018
Very clean, spacious, well-equipped, recently decorated cottage. Inclusion of a Smart TV came in very handy and a good feature if the weather is poor or at the end of a long day. Shop, pub & a restaurant almost on your door-stop. Lovely village green. We used the cottage as a base for a cycling holiday. Plenty of space outside for storing bikes or just relaxing in the well-maintained garden. Definitely recommended and would book again in the future.
Mrs Chapman September 2017
Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. This was a beautiful cottage set in an ideal location for exploring the Island. It was very clean, well equipped, cosy, comfortable and had the added bonus of a lovely garden and its own off street parking. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst visiting this lovely island and would most certainly stay here again ourselves.
Miss Hack August 2017
