Liked: The space (awesome). The individual character of the house. The 1920s ambience, especially the beautiful hallway. Beautiful lounge. Huge dining table at which to do art work whilst looking out to sea! The beautifully tended gardens and outside space. The breakfast bar (cooked and ate in every evening because the kitchen is so well appointed). The 3 bathrooms (heated floor in wet room most welcome). The sea views from front aspect of property. Proximity to #12 bus route!I Easy parking.
We have already booked Fernfield for next year as we felt very happy and relaxed there.

Spacious house, spacious garden fabulous location
Mrs Maidment December 2019
Fernfield was very well equipped, more than enough cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment. The lounge was very cosy and the sofa's very comfortable. Location superb with sea views from the majority of the windows - so handy for a quick walk along the beach.
Mrs Hookway October 2019
A great, well equipped holiday cottage in a lovely area. We have visited 6 times and look forward to visiting again.
Mrs Stafford April 2019
We had a wonderful stay at Fernfields. The rural setting is beautiful and ideally located for a short stroll to Brook beach and Compton Bay which are stunning unspoilt sandy beaches. We enjoyed the wood burner on the chillier nights but also were fortunate enough to have some hot sunny days and took full advantage of the large garden. The kids enjoyed the trampoline and the table tennis in the summerhouse. We hope to return one day. Thank you. The Stafford Family

Fernfield is an ideal location for a walking holiday situated close to coastal path and Tennyson Way. It is warm and comfortable with excellent views seaward and inland. Facilities including ground floor wet room ideal. Good pub (The Sun) within 1mile with good food.
Mr Hughes August 2018
Wow! What an unexpected gem. This lovely house which can sleep so many, was minutes from a fabulous beach and the coast path. We saw amazing sunsets and were able to go out and enjoy evening meals at the Sun Inn (walking distance) and one of the best village stores with fantastic fruit and vegetables in the nearby village of Hulverstone.
We were looking for somewhere quiet and spacious and both the property and its surrounding countryside and coast provided us with that.
Mrs Richardson August 2018
Extremely comfortable and spacious cottage. A few hundred yards from the coast. Wonderful sea views.
Mrs Beauchamp August 2018
Lovely cottage with plenty of room without being on top of each other.
Mrs Jackson June 2017
