The cottage and it’s location was lovely, lots of wildlife in the garden and very quiet, perfect for relaxing. However, I feel that the cottage could achieve so much more with a little TLC. It missed the personal touches (complementary tea, coffee, hand written welcome note etc) We were also allowed to take our dog, which was perfect due to all the local walks available, but the cottage lacked this information. It would have been very helpful to know a little bit of dog friendly information (pubs, local walks etc) The cottage doesn’t have access to the internet, which really isn’t a problem but with lack of information provided the internet would be helpful to do our own research.

Lovely walk to Yarmouth, not as far as it looked on the map! Roll top bath was lovely, a treat to have such a deep bath! Nice 10 min walk to the co-op when didn’t want to drive anywhere but needed essentials.

Me, my daughter and the dog had a super break, loved exploring the island, lots of walking, eating, driving and relaxing. Would definitely return to Afton Lodge, a cosy, traditional, quiet base. Just what we wanted!

A pretty, cosy cottage in a perfect location for exploring the western half of the island. Lovely walks from the door. Pheasants and red squirrels in the garden. Very close to a large Co op and a welcoming pub with great food. Perfect service from Classic Cottages with lots of ideas and information before our holiday. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely cottage resulting in a happy and memorable holiday but with a few reservations about inventory and maintenance.

Thanks so much for letting us know about the missing inventory items - we've followed this up with the owner and housekeeping team to get those items in place. We pleased that you enjoyed your stay nevertheless. Tanya, Customer Support

Take your own light bulbs and some blankets for the windows.
