Warm welcome by the owner - Nick- with a lovely Victoria Sponge cake and a bottle of bubbly. The house has a wonderful countryside/mountain view from the kitchen/ dining area and the sitting room. The first floor bedroom has a balcony and view of the countryside. All three en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished . The house is fully equipped and has everything you need . We were lucky with the weather and had been eating and drinking and soaking up the scenery outside most of the time. The house is easily accessed to local pubs with good food. Is within easy drive to Newton Abbott for train station and main shopping. It is only a short easy drive to the beaches, Dartmoor National Park and the Round Robin Tour of train, boat and bus from Paignton to Totnes to Dartmouth. A very good day trip. So many places to see and all are within easy drive from the house. Grand View is an exceptionally beautifully decorated house with all the necessary. Our holidays started straight away the minute we saw the view of the surrounding countryside from the house. We hope to be back. A beautiful property with amazing views and lovely comfortable modern interior. We travelled from the USA and it was a perfect place for our family Christmas and to meet with extended family in Devon. We really appreciated the tasteful decorations and the crib service at the local church on Christmas was a highlight! A brilliant stay and Nick was an attentive and considerate host....

Warm property,no need to notch up heating.Comfortable open plan ground floor which worked extremely well with mixed ages.Very friendly owner with plenty of smiles and useful advice about area and house.WONDERFUL CAKE AND SPARKLING WINE,such a welcoming.The Lilies lasted all week and the smell permeated throughout the house....

A wonderful stay at grand view , it certainly has the most amazing views . lovely well designed house , with a lovely large garden , ideal if you've bought your dog along with you, like we did. The house is in a great location with lots of attractions ,just a short drive away. The man town of newton abbott is also a short 5/10 minute drive. the house has the best of both worlds. ...
