Absolutely loved our stay at Aveton Cottage. Four ladies in our 50’s with our sewing machines and had a stitch and swim weekend. Fantastic location and lovely owner. Everything was immaculate. Well thought out spaces. Modern high spec kitchen. Cosy underfloor heating. Private pool with night lighting. Ample supplies of tea bags sugar and staples, loo rolls, hand soap at every sink including the poolside ones, laundry detergent and towels etc etc. Already booked next year. ...

Aveton is very well equipped the pool and facilities are the icing on the cake. Pool was to cold for us to swim in at 26 degrees we were very disappointed ?? despite asking which fell on deaf ears. We made good use of the gym although most of the machines are not working. That said this is a lovely house in a great location. Being a woman of a certain age ?? a window in the bedroom would have helped me sleep much better. ...

We're so happy that your enjoyed your time at Aveton Cottage and its splendid location - aren't the views just spectacular? We're sorry to hear you found the pool a little cool - the water temperature is set to 28 degrees and the air temperature to 30 degrees and this is regulated 24/7 by a heat exchanger. As explained before your arrival, these temperatures are not able to be increased as it would affect the water chemistry. We're pleased to hear that your fittness regime was able to be upheld in the super little gym the cottage offers - after a quick check of the gym equipment, it was found that a couple of the displays were not working - in one the battery had been dislodged and the other simply needed to be re-set. Please always feel free to reach out as the owners are always happy to help in situations like this. In these warmer months, guests can find fans in the bedrooms and there is also the added bonus of opening the external doors, to let in that fresh countryside air. Tressa, Customer Support...

Aveton Cottage far exceeded our expectations. The booking process was easy with great communication from both Classic Cottages and the host, Helen. It was hard to picture the accommodation beforehand, but the cottage and the location were perfect; tranquil and private but with easy access to a beautiful riverside walk, or with a short drive, the nearest town or coastal walks. Everything we needed was there. And more. We loved lying in bed listening to the owls, but otherwise there was no noise. It was a real treat to have all the facilities to ourselves. We'd like to keep this place a secret but have already recommended it to several friends! This is definitely on our 'places to return to' list. Thank you to Helen at Aveton and to Classic Cottages for helping us find it....
