We had a spectacular week at Fred's House. We have stayed in many self catering cottages but this was the best. It was so clean and had everything we wanted for a holiday stay. The owners had thought of everything - very comfortable beds, table to eat your meal with gorgeous views down to the sea, and sparkling bathrooms. Nightlights for an evening trip to the bathroom was an advantage. Kitchen was well stocked to eat in. The sofa in the lounge was extremely comfortable. The summer house had spare buckets, spades and a small body board. Quite a drive to supermarkets but the little village in Pelant had all you needed. Fish and chips in Looe, meal out at The London Inn St Neot, and the best panini's at the beach cafe in Talland Bay. In walking distance from Talland Bay, which was never too busy - even in August. Walking down the hill to the bay was great with sea views - the way back, up the steep hill, allowed us to walk off the cakes and drinks from the cafe!! We visited Looe, Polperro (the coastal walk is magical), The Eden project - which was a fantastic day out. Hang Loose based at Eden was enjoyed by the kids. Golitha Falls -with it's pure water - our son had a swim, The Hurlers and Cheesewring on Bodmin Moor near Minion was such an experience - so high with spectacular views. The cafe in Minion served delicious food, drinks and cakes and the friendly sheep came for a little tickle. Porfell Wildlife Sanctuary was a good day out and the drive through to St Neot is worth it to see the deer roaming free. The drive to Porthtowan beach was great and the waves for bodyboarding were fab. Sitting in the garden with a morning cup of tea was wonderful. And the wifi was strong for my 17 year old! Just writing this review makes me want to get in the car and drive back for another week!...

Fred's House is a wonderful place. It was comfortable, cosy, beautifully presented and so very well equipt. Absolutely everything had been thought of. It made it so very easy to completely relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The fabulous garden space was great and the dark sky was a real bonus for stargazing. Definitely one of the best holiday homes I have stayed in. Thank you to everyone who must have worked hard to make it a memorable holiday....

Fred's House is a spotlessly clean, comfortable house and we had a great 2 week stay there. The rooms are bigger than they appear in the photos and it is a very well equipped house. Beds were very comfortable and it is in such a peaceful location with beautiful gardens. The owners were very friendly and helpful with advice on local dog walks. A very comfortable & homely cottage in a good location. The owners had provided everything you could possibly need for home catering during the stay. In addition the lovely & private garden completed a great holiday experience.
