Miss Le Marquand June 2026

We really can't thank Marcelle enough for having us to stay at her beautiful property. Aurora at 24 Acres exceeded our expectations, and we had such a special time. Marcelle truly thinks about every small detail, from gorgeous bedding and crockery, to ensuring we had charcoal and wood for our BBQ, a gorgeous note and treats on arrival with fresh milk and home made tiffins. We have already said we would like to come back again next year, and the next year after, as we felt we had found a special oasis that allowed us to switch off. The property is also located amongst many amazing walking trails, and surrounded by pubs too. We couldn't recommend this gorgeous place more and we cannot wait to visit again. ...

Aurora is a luxury shepherd's hut in a glorious setting. The hut had everything you could need, was spotlessly clean, with quality equipment and accessories. All the little extra treats had been thoughtfully chosen and were much appreciated. We had wonderful weather and loved all the outside comfy seating options, it was hard to leave it was so relaxing. The large bathtub had been warmed by the sun and was fab to lie in at the end of the day, gazing at the trees and the buzzards. The hut is in a peaceful, secluded and idyllic location, the only noise was bird song and the occasional cow somewhere in the distance. It sits in a beautiful meadow, surrounded by trees, birds, dragon flies and wild flowers and has far reaching views of the hills. It felt like a very special and unique place to stay....

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Aurora. If anything, it was even more beautiful and comfortable than the photographs suggested. The hut had everything we could possibly need. We especially loved the Nespresso machine with excellent coffee pods, and the incredibly comfortable bed. Sitting on the steps of the hut with coffee in hand, overlooking the field and listening to the birds, was so special. The hosts struck the perfect balance, being both welcoming and available if needed, yet giving us plenty of space to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Evenings by the fire pit, with logs generously supplied, were a wonderful way to end the day. A real highlight was soaking in the wood-fired bath under the stars, listening to tawny owls calling to each other; an experience we’ll treasure for a long time. Our time at Aurora was the perfect antidote to the busyness of inner-city London life. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you for making it so special....

We wanted a quiet romantic getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our long weekend at Aurora was everything we'd hoped for and more. The quality of the facilities and decor are an exceptionally high standard. Wonderfully private location set in a beautiful wild meadow - the woodfired tub was easy to use and made for a couple of very special evenings star gazing and listening to the sounds of nature. We hope to return soon and 100% recommend....
