The grounds are shared with the friendly but unobtrusive owners. The property to right (with the green door) sleeps three and is also available to book - Horseshoe Cottage. The floor above Stable Cottage is not currently in use.
Pretty Chagford is just a short drive away and has some lovely village amenities, including pubs and independent shops.
Dartmoor has some idyllic landscapes and riverside walks.
There are sublime views to behold across Dartmoor.
The south coast is not far away - this is beautiful Shaldon.
Teignmouth is definitely worth a visit.

A lovely peaceful cottage with everything you could want. Good pubs nearby too. We used it as a base for cycling and there were excellent routes everywhere with not too many cars. Ebike recommended for the hills though.

This cottage is a jewel within Dartmoor National park. Situated on a beautiful farm ground, it is astonishingly well equiped with high quality furniture and kitchen tools. The hosts are very friendly, they and their housekeeper really care about their guests and value the importance of a throughout nice vacation. The nights are astonishingly silent and if the sky is clear, one can see thousands of stars. Don't miss out on fresh eggs from the farm's chickens!Highly recommended stay....

The owner or the caretaker, Jeff, were always available to answer any queries and were exceedingly helpful. We are an elderly couple but we felt safe and looked after at this property. Stable Cottage is exceptionally spacious for two people and equipped for four. It has been creatively designed and expensively decorated, with beautiful full length curtains and quality furnishings. It is a five star property in all ways....
