My partner and I stayed here over a long weekend and had an absolutely lovely time! Even including a slightly temperamental oven (which the hosts did warn us about and tell us how to handle it) the facilities were very good and the whole place was very clean. Both hosts were warm and welcoming and active on the phones to answer any questions we had. The area was gorgeous and only a 15 minute walk into Ottery St Mary, there seemed to be a lot of local walks on offer which we would have liked to do but unfortunately it was just far too hot, we do recommend The Donkey Sanctuary which is about 20 minutes away as it is free to go and I can see it being good fun for all ages. I would love to go back and stay for longer!...

What a beautiful place to stay. The surrounding landscapes are beautiful and the ranchers hut is decorated perfectly for the theme. The fire pit area was the perfect place to spend our evenings. Everything you need for a relaxed couples getaway.

We had a lovely stay. The hosts were available but unobtrusive and the hut was very comfortable and well kitted out. We enjoyed wondering down to the lake and trying to spot beavers and seeing their dam!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at Ranchers Hut. The hut was cosy, comfortable with a well thought out interior. A peaceful location with wonderful views of the countryside, birds and wildlife. The outside area was great with room to relax and for children to play. Fire pit/BBQ was a nice area to sit and cook and hot tub an added bonus ! A great base for country walks, beaches and visitor attractions....
