My partner, our 19-month-old daughter, and I had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage. Our daughter loved starting each day by saying good morning to the sheep in the neighbouring field and greeting the horses just down the road. The cottage itself was fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and it has a lovely garden space to relax in. You definitely need a car to make the most of the location, but it serves as a brilliant base for exploring. During our stay, we enjoyed day trips to York, visited the coastal towns of Staithes and Sandsend, and explored the National Trust properties at Rievaulx Terrace and Nunnington Hall. We also fitted in plenty of lovely walks across the North York Moors. We would highly recommend Garden Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Yorkshire....

James and Lucy were both very helpful with a couple of little details at the start of our holiday. This is a spacious and very clean property that is beautifully finished and charmingly furnished. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the appliances are top quality. The heating kept us cosy, especially in the bathroom with the heated floor. The bed is huge and so very comfy! We spent the week exploring the North York Moors,mainly doing long walks in the rural dales. Another highlight was Rievaulx Abbey and the pretty town of Helmsley. A really great place for a holiday....
