Nudli's Lodge

Well worth the money for our stay. And enjoyed the location. Far enough away from other units to eliminate unwanted noise for a quiet break.

Overall the lodge is in need of some upgrading. It is very tired and would benefit from new flooring throughout. The carpet is old, threadbare in one area in the lounge and carries a musty smell. On arrival, the smell was awful and only subsided once we had the door and all windows wide open for a couple of hours. The lamp in the lounge was broken and the bathrooms are tired and old. The cleanliness of the kitchen was good and there was plenty of kitchen equipment but unfortunately, the BBQ was dirty as was the outdoor furniture. There is a parking space which is not well marked out and as such, we had an issue with other guests from other properties not parking correctly in their own space which meant having to knock on doors to get people to move their car so we could park. The grounds around the lodge are not very well maintained either. The grass areas are overgrown and the bin area would benefit from some lighting. We also found Classic Cottage’s staff to be poor. We asked a couple of simple questions prior to arrival and both times they had to be chased for replies. These were questions which we would expect them to have had the answers to at their fingertips. Interestingly, they were more efficient when they chased us three times in quick succession after we made the initial enquiry through their website for the property‘s availability! ...

Nudlis Lodge is a lovely clean cottage, off the beaten track. Ok as a base to visit North Devon. You definately need a car to get around. Lots of places to visit, Bude, Appledore, Instow (great sandy beach for dogs) also further on, Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton and Braunton, great for surfers. There are a couple of walks from the lodge to walk your dog but no amenities on site. If you want a quiet holiday away from the madding crowds, this lodge certainly fits the bill....

I would highly recommend a stay at Nudli's Lodge. It's set in a quiet woodland setting surrounded by lovely countryside. The lodge Is very comfortable, spacious and has all you need to have a wonderful stay. It's location enables you to visit amazing beaches and picturesque villages with only a short drive. It was lovely to sit out on the verandah in the morning sun for breakfast or fire up the BBQ in the evening. As a family of four needing some quality time together, Nudli's Lodge was the perfect getaway. We hope to have a return visit in the future. ...

Nudli's is off the beaten track and perfect for stepping off the travelator of life. The huge variety of trees and meadow plants are filled with insects and a good variety of birds. The cottage is superbly equipped and comfortable. Our summer break was cool and rainy, but Nudli's was warm and snug!...
