Tolpuddle is the middle cottage in the photo, the parking is behind the cottages, turn right before the white thatched cottage.
This great little play area is a two minute walk from the cottage, it has an enclosed gated-area for small children.
The Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum in the village tells the story of the beginning of the Trades Union Movement, it is free to visit.
This spectacular view is of Chesil Beach, with Portland in the background taken from the Jurassic Coast road between Weymouth and Bridport; fabulous views in both directions.
Nearby Athelhampton House and Gardens are well worth a visit, they have a restaurant there too.
Corfe Castle stands imposingly above the village of Corfe. The Swanage steam railway runs along the side of the village and stops at the little station there.

Quaint thatched cottage in a pretty village. The facilities are good, with everything you need. The local pub has great food. The cottage is a little way out so driving is essential. Puddle town woods is close by, good for dog walking. We enjoyed our time in the cottage and the friendly village....

We were disappointed to find the property in a state of cleanliness and maintenance which is not up to the high standard we are used to with Classic properties. Classic offered to send a cleaner in but obviously some things couldn’t be resolved immediately. It’s a nice property in a good location for exploring the area, with easy parking on site....

Tolpuddle Cottage was in an excellent location for exploring Dorset. The Martyrs Inn, 200 metres away was most welcoming and we enjoyed the food very much. All in all a fantastic week.
