Mr Marsland September 2019

Fantastic location, great walking from the door, property of a very high standard and actually you could easily reside in it which is the best compliment we could pay to the owner. Nice touches like the home made cake the bottle of wine and chocolates, all did not last long! This is the second Classic cottages property we have booked and will definitely book again, exceptionally high standard. We have recommended this property and Classic cottages to friends and work colleagues. ...

We had a lovely stay at The Parlour. Cottage has a lovely view across the countryside and is on a working farm, with lots of tractors for our under 3 to watch from the enclosed garden space. Was able to walk across 2 fields to the local Spar shop and 2 pubs in the village. Was also able to take our buggy to The Anchor Inn in Seatown and the stony beach, down the lane and through a couple of wide footpaths. Kitchen very well stocked with utensils. Polite and helpful owners welcomed us with a treat and milk in the fridge upon arrival which was unexpected but very welcome. Cottage positioned in a lovely area of Dorset, broad spectrum of beaches nearby in both directions, good local pubs, a tea room in a lovely setting nearby and the interior countryside is a walkers delight! A great trip for us!...

We, a family with children aged 8, 6 and 4 y and a baby, loved staying at and around The Parlour. It is a comfortable and warm welcoming place. Easy, safe and nice with small children. Enough to explore at little distance, kindly hosted, and well equipped with everything at hand. ...

Nice touch leaving Flowers, chocolates and cake. Good views and within walking distance of the sea.

Mr Smith July 2018

People met locally were very nice, helpful and friendly, both on the farm and in the village. Nice to have a farm shop close by with local produce, too. Quiet location, great weather (for us if not for the farmers), and plenty of things to do nearby (beach walking, village sights). The quiz games were enjoyed (and would have been even more welcome had the weather been poor).Felt like a cared-for home rather than a cheaply furnished let, if you see what we mean....
