There is also a private sheltered area at the side of the Lodge. It is quite a suntrap. This area can be enclosed if you wish.

Killerton House is the nearest National Trust property, with lovely gardens and the 800 acre Ashclyst Forest to explore.
Budleigh Salterton is another lovely little coastal town on the Jurassic Coast.

A haven of peace and tranquility set in magnificent grounds, Mount Pleasant Lodge lacks for nothing and richly deserves its five star status. No wonder so many guests make repeat visits. More than merely a convenient base from which to explore this delightful part of Devon, the lodge was one of the highlights of our holiday and we recommend it without reservation. Warm, welcoming and thoughtfully discreet (but on hand if you need them), Terry and Gill are the very best of hosts whose attention to detail and ‘no expense spared’ dedication to their guests’ comfort is unparalleled. Easing ourselves into those recliner chairs after a hard day’s sightseeing was such a treat and we slept so well in the master bedroom we asked them for the name of the manufacturer of the mattress. Thank you Terry and Gill. We hope to return in the not too distant future. And not only for that delicious homemade bread, lemon drizzle and marmalade! ...
