Secluded, quiet peaceful cottage(in the grounds of owners property) tucked away in depths of Dorset countryside . A perfect place to take dogs to, with a secluded fenced garden and wonderful nearby walks and a good local pub . Mr and Mrs Sutton were very welcoming and were on hand should we have needed anything . We would recommend to friends....

Quaint building deep in rural Dorset. Enjoy the peace & wildlife.

We enjoyed our holiday, despite a week of very unsettled weather. Owners Richard and Jane were very friendly. Note that the north-facing garden and patio get very little sun (whatever the weather generally). The dense trees - although in themselves beautiful - cut off the light and views. The Fox Inn is recommended for dinner. We're delighted to read that despite the unseasonably wet May, you enjoyed your holiday. The Old Coach House does have a lovely patio area to enjoy the sun but understand that a week of thunder and heavy rains could have an impact on that. Thank you for mentioning the website information, we show 'as the crow flies' distances on our website and avoid mentioning travel times as it will vary for idfferent times of day. We will double check that the figures are correct. We're happy to read that you enjoyed the Fox Inn which is a short walk from the property and that you enjoyed exploring the local National Trust locations. We hope to welcome you back in the future and hope for better weather during your stay! Sarah, Customer Support ...

Well situated for some nice walks straight out of the property -- one to Bulbarrow Hill and another to Dorsetshire Gap. The landscape is idyllic in this area. If you like hillforts, you're in the right place!
