Just imagine the most magical of holiday locations, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Porthminster beach and with the delights of the characterful town of St Ives right on your doorstep. Imagine no longer because Arcus has all this and more, with a blissful private courtyard and stunning sea view balcony, you have arrived in holiday heaven!
Arcus is a stunning ground floor apartment, beautifully created to offer contemporary living at its best and where original features marry seamlessly with beautiful furnishings. From the moment you step over the threshold you will fall in love with this timeless classic holiday abode. The front door leads into the sleek kitchen area where you will find all you need to cook a holiday meal. An original restored grand archway then invites you into the sitting/dining-room, with gorgeous furnishings in soft pastel hues and wall art giving a nod to the maritime location. Sink into the super comfy sofas and relax after a busy day or perhaps gather everyone around the feature dining-table to chat about the adventures of the day. Access to the private courtyard is from the living area and this delightful, secluded space invites you to dine al fresco in the Cornish fresh air from dawn until dusk.
There are two luxurious bedrooms, both with sumptuous linens for a great night's sleep. Bedroom one has a gorgeous king-size bed and a balcony where you can sit and gaze and the turquoise waters of Porthminster, perhaps with a morning coffee or evening aperitif! Bedroom two has the benefit of a 'zip and link' bed so you can choose to have either a king-size double or twin beds. The family shower-room has a large walk-in shower, perfect for rinsing salty toes after a day on the beach. With the delights of St Ives a short stroll away from this striking apartment, you really have found the perfect holiday destination here!
Artists have been drawn to the effervescent light and stunning sandy beaches of St Ives for centuries. Today, artists' studios can still be found here alongside the magnificent Tate Gallery overlooking Porthmeor beach (try the cafe for the view) and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. A short stroll from Arcus you will discover cobbled streets and an eclectic mix of boutiques and galleries alongside a great choice of restaurants serving the freshest of local Cornish seafood. Water sports lovers should head for Porthmeor beach where surfers make the most of the Atlantic rollers or perhaps the gentler waters of Porthminster where families can spend blissful days building sandcastles and paddling. Porthgwidden is a glorious beach hidden in-between the two main beaches and the beachside cafe here is well worth a visit (book ahead during summer months as it's a popular spot). Boat trips from the harbourside bring endless summer fun and this is a great spot to sit and watch the water world go by. With all you need on your doorstep you may never need your car, but if you do decide to travel further afield head for the south coast and iconic St Michael's Mount where you can stroll along the causeway to the mythical castle at low tide and catch a ferryboat when the tide is high. The Minack Theatre offers great theatrical entertainment in the most impressive of settings or maybe pull on your walking boots for a trek along the coast path and discover the many hidden coves and inlets alongside pretty fishing villages and sandy beaches. However you choose to spend your precious holiday time, a getaway at Arcus will be memorable.
