If you were looking for cottages like Dart Safari, how about trying these:

Welcome to Dart Safari. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Devonshire countryside, this luxurious canvas tent is ideal for friends and families alike. Whether you're after a relaxing retreat or an adventure out of a storybook, this stay has it all.

Located on the same site as Brownscombe Tabernacle (2907), Brownscombe Roundhouse (5225) and Brownscombe Cabin (5228), Dart Safari is situated in a two acre field alongside three other safari tents: Yealm Safari (5240), Bovey Safari (5333) and Tamar Safari (5334). All tents are over 30 metres apart and facing different directions, but Dart enjoys the highest position in the field with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It's also the only tent to not permit dogs and to provide hypo-allergenic bedding, Dart is ideally suited to more sensitive guests prone to allergies and seeking greater comfort.

Step inside and you'll find a spacious open plan living area that enjoys a high canopy ceiling and vintage furnishings throughout. Looking around you'll find it evident that every detail has been thoughtfully chosen. From the plush sofa you can sink into after a day of exploring, to the generous dining space, perfect for gathering together at mealtimes.

Over in the kitchen you'll find all you need to whip up a feast. Far from basic, the tent is equipped with a fridge, electric hob, running hot water and a large wood-fired range designed for both cooking and heating.

Behind the kitchen is the king, twin and cabin bedrooms. Each is dressed with sumptuous hypo-allergenic linens and fitted with a radiator to keep you snug. By each bedside light there are power sockets, ideally placed for hair dryers and phone chargers.

When staying at Dart there's no need to nip out to the bathroom as the tent has a luxurious en suite shower-room, with piping hot water, a heated towel rail and complimentary organic shampoo and bodywash. Opposite this is a separate cloakroom with a flushing toilet and ceramic basin. So there's no need to worry about dodging inclement weather. Here everything is under one roof and at your disposal.

Outside the tent enjoys a large, covered decking area, furnished with Adirondack chairs and boasting stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Alongside this you'll also find an al fresco dining-area, fire-pit and private hot tub. So whether the sun is rising as you sip your coffee or setting as you sip your night cap, you can sit out and take in that view.

On site there's also a shared games-room with table-tennis and table-football, a Wellness Room where you can book a spa treatment and enjoy some pampering and a small shop known as The Larder, which stocks local produce and camping essentials. And if you fancy a break from self-catering, you can eat out on site, with private dining at The Lodge and pizza nights at The Barn.

There is WiFi in the communal barn and lodge. Farmers rounds are available to book once during your stay to feed the pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks.
