If you were looking for cottages like Tamar Safari, how about trying these:

Ready for a relaxing retreat in the quiet countryside? Look no further than Tamar Safari Tent. Perfect for families and friends, this comfortable canvas safari tent is beautifully secluded and perfectly designed to leave you completely refreshed and renewed.

Located alongside Brownscombe Tabernacle (2907), Brownscombe Roundhouse (5225) and Brownscombe Cabin (5228), Tamar Safari is situated in a two acre field with the other safari tents: Yealm Safari (5240), Bovey Safari (5333) and Dart Safari (5335). All tents are over 30 metres apart and facing different directions, but Tamar sits at the farthest edge and is perfect for those seeking a little more privacy.

On entering the tent you'll find the living area is spacious and luxurious, with a beautiful high canopy ceiling and stylish furnishings throughout. From the plush sofa to the generous dining-area to the vintage-inspired kitchen, every detail has been thoughtfully chosen. Here you can gather for meals, enjoy a games night and play cards by the fire.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, electric hob, running hot water and a large wood-fired range designed for both cooking and heating. So whether it's a full English breakfast or delicious pasta bake, you'll have all you need to cook up a feast.

Behind the living space you'll find the king, twin and cabin bedrooms. Each is dressed with sumptuous linens and fitted with a radiator to keep you snug. There is also a power socket by each bedside light, ideally placed for drying hair and charging phones.

Inside the tent you'll also find a luxurious en suite shower-room with piping hot water, a heated towel rail and complementary organic shampoo and bodywash. Next to this is a separate cloakroom with a flushing toilet and ceramic basin. There's no need to nip out here! Even if the weather is inclement, everything is under one roof and at your disposal.

Step outside and you'll be greeted with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Built on a raised platform, the tent enjoys a large, covered decking area furnished with Adirondack chairs. As well as an al fresco dining-area, fire-pit and private hot tub. So you can sit out and sip your coffee as the sun rises or enjoy a night cap as the sunsets and stars appear.

On site there is also a shared games-room with table-tennis and table-football, a Wellness Room where you can book a spa treatment and enjoy some pampering and a small shop known as The Larder, which stocks local produce and camping essentials. And if you fancy a break from self-catering, you can eat out on site, with private dining at The Lodge and pizza nights at The Barn.

There is WiFi in the communal barn and lodge. Farmers rounds are available to book once during your stay to feed the pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks.
