TwinTucked away on the beautiful Rame peninsula, this charming coastal getaway promises sunny days lazing on the beach, rambles along coastal footpaths, charming fishing towns and villages to discover and lounging on your private terrace gazing out to sea.
Not only does this traditional, terraced, coastguard's cottage boasts fabulous views and warm and welcoming interiors but also a south-facing garden, perfect for fun and games, and your very own bubbly hot tub - how good is that!
With the village pub, popular with both locals and visitors alike, a 10 minute stroll up the hill and the beach cafe even closer, your designated chef can hang up their apron for the duration of the stay but if they are tempted to serve up a feast, the little galley kitchen has all that you need or on balmy evenings they might prefer to fire up the barbecue. The dining-area takes pride of place in the conservatory with those views providing the perfect backdrop and the toasty wood-burner in the sitting-room invites you to snuggle up on cooler nights, making this a great retreat whatever the weather.
How wonderful to wake in the morning in the double bedroom and see the sparkling sea glistening in the sunshine, it's a great excuse for a holiday lie-in but when you get up you're in for a treat.
This special part of Cornwall is a real treasure with miles of coastal footpaths offering amazing sea views around every corner. Wander the charming twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, stopping off at one of the many pubs and cafes for some good old Cornish hospitality, or spend the day in the traditional working fishing seaside town of Looe where you can try your luck at crab, mackerel or even deep sea shark fishing.
The grand houses and gardens of Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and Antony (National Trust) transport you to a Cornwall of a bygone age and for some maritime history, take the foot ferry from Cremyll over to Plymouth, home to the historic Barbican, Plymouth Hoe and the city's latest hotspot the Royal William Yard. For a good walk ruined, the links golf course is merely "a good drive off the tee and a chip on the green" away from the cottage or for some fun on the water hire kayaks and paddle boards from the water sports centre on the beach and after all that exercise, time to chill out and relax in the complimentary sauna and steam room, found in the hamlet at Guillemot Terrace.
