TwinWadsbury Farm Cottage is in a hilltop position in an east Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the coastal towns and fishing villages of Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton all situated along the stunning Jurassic Coast less than 10 miles away.
This peaceful, single-storey cottage, one mile from the village of Stockland, is reached through the little winding lanes that are traditional here – the reward being the breathtaking views with the sea at Seaton in the distance. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom or shower-room and are separated by the open plan living-room.
The sunny patio overlooks the beautifully maintained grounds, with a large area for guests’ use and views towards the spectacular coastline.
Pretty Stockland village, a short distance away, has a wonderful pub, The Kings Arms. Enjoy some local produce and experience a real local welcome.
If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil setting, why not visit the market towns of Honiton, well known for its antiques shops, and Axminster, where a choice of wonderful local farm shops and cafes are available. Other charming villages and towns are also dotted nearby, all offering something special, such as Kilmington which is home to Millers brilliant farm shop, or just on the outskirts of Axminster in Uplyme you have Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's River Cottage HQ. All very much worth a visit, a real treat for the foodies in your party.
To really get away from it all, try one of the several lovely walking routes in the unspoilt Blackdown Hills beyond Honiton. After a day out exploring, a meal at the renowned Tucker's Arms at the nearby village of Dalwood will be a perfect treat.
