The Croft

If you were looking for cottages like The Croft, how about trying these:

At the end of a private lane and set within a peaceful courtyard flanked by a small group of other converted barns, The Croft is a pretty little self-contained annexe to the owners' house on the outskirts of Godolphin Cross, home of the National Trust’s Godolphin House.

Thoughtfully planned to maximise space its cosy, open plan living-room is furnished in mellow pine and decorated in restful colours. Steep, ladder-style stairs (unsuitable for the less mobile – or arthritic knees!) lead to the spacious en suite bedroom, where ‘zip and link’ beds offer versatile double or twin accommodation.

After busy days out guests can relax in the sheltered garden just across the courtyard, a few yards away from the front door. With storage for surfboards and bicycles, you can explore the area and enjoy the beaches to your hearts content.
