Found in lush farmland above Mount’s Bay, less than two miles from St Michael’s Mount and Marazion beach and equidistant from St Ives and Penzance, is charming Angwinack Cottage. Approached via an unmade lane, with only two or three neighbours, this is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday. The original beamed ceiling, deep window seats and comfortable furnishings give the sitting/dining-room a delightfully restful feel, its fireplace and wood-burning stove making it welcoming for winter retreats. A step leads down to the sunny, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, with the bedrooms on the first floor. A real plus is the lovely enclosed garden, terraced in places, and a ten minute walk takes you to the excellent local pub.
Angwinack’s living room is conveniently separated by the staircase into separate sitting and dining areas and upstairs are two comfortable, pretty bedrooms, a double and a twin, making this the perfect cottage for a small family or friends. When it comes to getting out and about, there is plenty to do within easy reach. It is just a short drive from the bustling town of Penzance and the beauties of the West Penwith peninsula are on the doorstep. Wild moorland, high jagged cliffs and sandy coves, there are so many places to enjoy a picnic, a swim or a bracing clifftop walk. St Ives is just a few miles away with its gorgeous sandy beaches as well as the Tate Gallery, which is well worth a visit, and numerous other art galleries, quirky shops and some excellent restaurants.
