The perfect retreat for two (or three) and your small four legged friend, tucked away in the heart of a pretty village on the Lizard. Corlan Cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside and has far reaching views but is less than a mile to pretty Mullion Cove and the rugged coastline of this untouched part of Cornwall.
This charming, converted granite barn with original beams and stonework, will make arriving here feel like coming home. Park on the private drive and step on the slate paving stones leading to your front door and you have reached your destination. Handily, the owners live nearby if ever needed.
Open the front door to find your cosy accommodation; the open plan sitting/dining area is a lovely space to spend time together - stretch out in the armchairs in front of the wood-burner chatting about your adventures or relax in front of a good film. The dining-table of course is great for planning your day out or enjoy a long, tasty meal with you and your loved ones. Up in the eaves a minstrels' gallery with a low sloping ceiling runs along two-thirds of the cottage, an intriguing mezzanine accessed by a wall-ladder (please do not allow children to move the ladder, this is to be moved by adults only).
The small but well-equipped kitchen leads out to the enclosed lawned back garden where there is plenty of space for any younger members of the party to run around while the grown-ups sit back and relax, enjoying wonderful far reaching countryside views.
Along the hallway you will find the two bedrooms, family bathroom and separate shower-room. The sweet single bedroom is lovely and snug for a good nights slumber and the second bedroom has a comfy double bed. The shower-room is next to the single bedroom and the family bathroom is next to the double bedroom - no waiting for someone to finish their long bath if you want a soak yourself too.
