Tastefully furnished and decorated with a sympathetic eye to its origins, Pericles Cottage is perched high above beautiful Cadgwith cove, with stunning views over this unspoilt fishing village and the glistening sea beyond.
This terraced former coastguard's cottage, just a short walk from the village, is delightfully peaceful and traditional. Granite steps lead you down into the little courtyard behind the cottage into the spacious kitchen/diner, which in turn leads to the dining-room and out to the garden where you can sit and watch the daily activity below.
This well-equipped cottage includes three pretty bedrooms giving added flexibility depending on your requirements, each has a small ornamental Victorian fireplace and the two front rooms enjoy those glorious sea views (please note: Bedroom 2 has a super-king size double bed and is two single three foot mattresses on a six foot bed frame).
In one of the bedrooms you will discover the secret little lookout, where the coastguard may well have spent his watch in days gone by – you too are bound to spend many hours gazing in the same direction! Take a short walk down the hill into the village and you will find the pub, restaurant, crab shop, gift shop and gallery and, if you time it right, you can watch the fishermen bring in their daily catch.
Pericles Cottage is an ideal base from which to venture out along the wonderful South West Coast Path, explore the Lizard peninsula's sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and secret coves or if you prefer to slow things down, this could be the perfect resting place to simply stop and enjoy the view.
