Once you step inside, you will enjoy an extremely warm welcome, making you feel instantly at home in this lovingly finished apartment. This historic three-storey town house is only a short and pleasant stroll away from the glorious Sidmouth seafront, however why not get a little closer! Pack your sun cream and don't forget your sunglasses, as only a 10 to 15 minute meander through Sidmouth's town centre will find you at the waterside, enjoying Sidmouth's glorious sandy beach and the hustle and bustle of the surrounding attractions.
The ascent up two flights of steps to your apartment is very much worth the effort. On entering this charming apartment, you are welcomed to a cosy yet very well-equipped kitchen, dining and living area, which also offers a wood-burner effect electric stove for those chillier evenings, perfect for movie night. The kitchen is compact yet offers everything you will need to cook almost any feast. Retiring for the evening is a pleasure, the king-size bed is super comfy offering a restful night's sleep. The bathroom is conveniently located directly next door to the bedroom.
There really is something for everyone in this popular seaside town, however if you wish to explore a little further afield the glorious east Devon coast and all its magic awaits.
The Cathedral City of Exeter is just a short drive away; here you can explore 2000 years of history, with Roman walls, underground passages, the historic quayside and great shopping. If you are feeling energetic the Exe Estuary Trail can be enjoyed on foot or with your bicycle (bicycle hire available locally), a 26 mile flat route which links Exmouth, Exeter and Dawlish, with some fabulous views along the way.
The east Devon coast has so much to offer, from iconic hot spots to the picture perfect villages and towns positioned perfectly along this glorious coastline.
There are so many popular villages and towns scattered along this glorious coastline. You have Branscombe, with the fabulous Sea Shanty beach cafe and the Mason's Arms, or visit Beer village with lots of charm, fresh fish from the beachside shop and summer boat hire if you wish to take to the water. Seaton tramway is well worth a visit, it leaves Seaton and travels the Axe estuary through wetlands teeming with bird and insect life, to inland historic Colyton.
Further east you can book into River Cottage HQ for a cookery course or indulgent meal or hop over the border into Dorset and visit Lyme Regis. Famous for its iconic Cobb, Lyme is lively all year round, with great restaurants and cafes, a sandy beach and dinosaur and fossil museums to keep you there all day.
If you are an animal lover, The Donkey Sanctuary at Salcombe Regis is the perfect day out for you, offering free admission and the opportunity to see hundreds of rescued donkeys and mules on this scenic working farm. On your travels you will no doubt come across some wonderful scenery and farm shops selling a wide range of local produce and treats to take back to your holiday home.
