Nestled in the pretty hamlet of Treworthal this delightful semi-detached thatched cottage is a real gem. Come and stay at this lovely Grade II Listed stone cottage to enjoy everything the Roseland peninsula has to offer including the most beautiful beaches and stunning coastal walks just minutes from your doorstep.

Features include a warming wood-burner in the lovely sitting-room and two comfy sofas for relaxing, that's one each! Get cosy and enjoy the glow of the fire on a cool evening or watch a movie on the Blu-ray player. Cook up a feast in the cottage kitchen, the double range cooker is a delight for any aspiring chef and with a plentiful bounty of local produce, it's so easy to eat well whilst on holiday. There is a Krups Nespresso machine (please bring your own pods). If you prefer to let someone else do the cooking, head off to the local pub or down to nearby Portscatho and St Mawes, where you will find a wide choice of great places to eat. Local fish and seafood are plentiful as are the freshest and most delicious vegetables and locally reared meats from the local farm shop at Curgurell.

The pretty cottage garden is perfect for relaxing with a good book in the shade of the summer-house or under the umbrella, take your food outside, breakfast on the garden terrace followed by an hour on the sun lounger, sounds like a great way to spend the afternoon! When the eyes get heavy, head to your super-king size bed on the first floor, (this can also be made up as twin beds on request) this relaxing bedroom is flooded with light until the shutters come down as the sun sets. The bathroom can be found on the ground floor, ideal for washing off the saltwater after an early morning wild swim in the clear waters at Pendower beach.

Babies under six months old are welcomed at Sophie's Cottage.

From this enviable location you can drive to both Pendower and Carne beaches in a few minutes, a little further on to the pretty seaside village of Portscatho which has two great pubs and the harbourside town of St Mawes which has some fabulous waterside restaurants, both are a must visit during your stay. Head across the water by ferry either from St Mawes to explore the maritime town of Falmouth or take the car across on the King Harry Ferry to Feock to visit Trelissick Gardens or the city of Truro with its independent shops and lovely cathedral.

There are miles of the stunning South West Coast Path to enjoy, whilst out walking make sure to visit the Hidden Hut on Porthcurnick beach where lunch is served from outdoor grills, or head to Carne and Nare head and enjoy a crab sandwich on the terrace at the Nare Hotel or a cake and coffee at the Thirstea van en route.

Fancy learning a new skill, why not try one of the fabulous courses at the Philleigh Way Cookery School from bread and pasta making to fish courses and foraging, there is something for everyone.

However you plan to spend your days exploring the beautiful Roseland peninsula, Sophie's Cottage has everything you need for the perfect Cornish holiday.
