Discover Wootton Lodge nestled in a north Devon nook and set within 90 acres of woodland, meadows and streams - all waiting to be explored! Just a short drive away you will discover glorious beaches, hidden coves, coastal walks and magical Exmoor. Situated at the beginning of the long Wootton Manor drive, this original country house lodge has been fully renovated creating a perfect holiday abode for families or couples, with the warm welcome also extended to the family hounds!

The lodge delivers the best of open plan living, creating the perfect spot for the family to come together at the start and end of each day. The sitting-area benefits from a glorious log-burner which is perfect for warming those chiller autumnal mornings or creating the ideal setting for a family movie night. When the sun rises on your first morning there's no better spot to come together than the fun breakfast-bar to tuck into that all-important first morning brunch after the chef has worked their magic in the fully equipped kitchen. No matter the season this room floods with light and, thanks to two sets of French doors, the garden is a lovely extension of the living area.

All four bedrooms offer the most tranquil backdrop creating the perfect setting to enjoy a blissful night's sleep. Beautiful styling, super comfy beds and crisp fresh linens adorn each bedroom and they are also equipped with a TV should you wish to break away from the family to indulge in a film tucked up in bed.

Bedroom one is a larger room with the flexibility of a 'zip and link' bed and a super handy en suite shower-room. There are a further two doubles and one king bedroom that share a fully furnished bathroom. When it comes to family holidays then we know that a fully equipped utility-room with a washing machine and tumble-drier is a delight.

When a garden matches the 'wow 'of the interiors you know the entire family is going to be happy and that includes the family pooch! This lodge boasts not one but two gardens, and the treats continue with a treehouse platform offering a rural view that's total bliss. Carefully crafted benches, a fire-pit - the perfect setting for reminiscing about the days adventures whilst toasting marshmallows - and the all-important barbecue provide the essential ingredients for a fabulous al fresco evening. Being rural you will also enjoy the abundance of birds and of course the local sheep are going to look on as you play in the garden.

Sharing this lovely location is Wootton Secret Hut (5591), which can be booked alongside Wootton Lodge (subject to availability).

The nearest market town is South Molton with its twice-weekly (Thursdays and Saturdays) pannier market and quirky independent shops. For a highly recommended blast of sea air head to the north coast which has plenty of golden sandy beaches to choose from. Why not head to Instow for a day, here you can use the little seasonal passenger ferry to visit the historic fishing village of Appledore too. A little further afield the coast becomes truly dramatic with wild cliff paths and rocky coves and fabulous surfing beaches.

If walking is your thing, beautiful Exmoor National Park is just half an hour away by car and dramatic Dartmoor can be easily reached too (around an hour's drive). Or why not cycle the Tarka Trail from Braunton to Meeth near Hatherleigh.

For a total change in scenery, the Cathedral City of Exeter is nearby. Don't fancy driving? Hop on a train for the 45-minute journey to the city along the beautiful Tarka Line. Closer to home, the Highbullen Hotel is a short drive from Wootton Lodge and offers tennis, golf, a spa, gym, bar and a fine dining restaurant.
