Welcome to Edrics Farmhouse, this majestic Grade II Listed house provides the utmost in splendour and comfort, guaranteeing that 'wow!' factor the moment you arrive. Built in the early 16th Century it boasts a fascinating history which has been sympathetically retained and restored during the transformation into what is now, a magnificent home for 12 lucky guests.
This beautiful countryside retreat, nestled in a tranquil valley, provides the perfect holiday destination whether it be for a special family celebration or that well-deserved break away with friends. Set in an acre of private garden and surrounded by farmland, this exceptionally grand property has been designed and equipped with great thought and vision to ensure that your stay here is full of fun, games, music and laughter.
Once inside Edrics Farmhouse you can really make yourself at home. After feasting like kings in the spacious kitchen/dining-room, cosying up in front of the fire in the main sitting-room is the perfect way to end the day, or perhaps sloping off to one of the other snug areas for some peace and quiet may be just the ticket. Heading up to bed is always a delight, a great night's sleeps awaits in one of the five luxury bedrooms, of which three are en suite, complemented by a fourth family bathroom.
Planning tomorrow's adventure is a real treat. Whether it's exploring your immediate surroundings, or a short drive to the sought-after Jurassic Coast with its stunning beaches and fabulous South West Coast Path. However, just staying to sprawl on the garden sofas and enjoy the beautifully manicured grounds of Edrics Farmhouse is a must. The outside dining-area with a fire-pit, barbecue and tree house makes this a very special place for all generations, especially as the sportier members of the party have a badminton set and table-tennis table at their disposal.
The great news is that in this wonderfully tranquil and rural location, you are not alone. The very friendly owners live in a separate building within the grounds (with their own separate entrance and parking area). They are on hand at anytime to help make your holiday perfect. Otherwise you will have complete privacy - with your own private space that's not overlooked.
Edrics Farmhouse is nestled in the glorious Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, now defined as National Landscapes and one of the hidden gems of South West England. For the walkers of the party, there are fabulous paths to explore from the front door.
The market town of Axminster is only a short car journey away, offering all your desired conveniences and a welcoming watering hole (or two) for those nights you fancy a change of scenery and a new chef.
For the chef of the party, foraging for that fine dining produce is a real pleasure and all on your doorstep. With the foodie scene really growing in this area, you are treated to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Kitchen and Store, along with numerous other local shops all supplying traditional Devon produce, making whipping up that special celebratory meal even more enjoyable.
Whether you are looking for peace and tranquility, or adventure and action, you will find it all and much more when staying at Edrics Farmhouse.
This luxurious house, located in one of the most incredible spots, provides the perfect venue for any special occasion. You and your party cannot fail to have a magical time at Edrics Farmhouse, you won't want to leave!
