A warm welcome awaits you at Beckstones House in the Yorkshire Dales, with its double fronted facade and stunning views that overlook Gayle Beck from every room. Grade II Listed and nestled in the pretty hamlet of Gayle, which sits within a unique conservation area and half a mile from the popular town of Hawes, you'll quickly settle into the relaxed way of life this charming home inspires. Built in 1810 by the son of Gayle Mill's owner, Beckstones House was originally a meeting room and office. The thoughtful renovation has retained a wealth of charm and character, while adding additional modern luxuries to create a striking interior. Look out for the original beams and features which give a nod to its rich history.

Beautifully furnished and with a real eye for detail, this house is an absolute delight. Step in through the impressive glass entrance hall, the perfect place for muddy boots and coats, to the contemporary open plan living/dining/kitchen area with views of the picture postcard beck through large sash windows.

The kitchen is perfect for the most discerning of cooks and there is everything you will need to conjure up delicious meals for friends and family to enjoy. With Yorkshire firmly on the foodie map, you will be spoilt for choice with amazing local ingredients as you gather around the large dining-table and plan tomorrow's adventures. As the evening draws in, fire up the wood-burner and cosy up on the comfy sofa to enjoy time together watching your favourite film on the Smart TV.

When sleep calls, head upstairs to the blissful and charming bedrooms, which overlook the babbling beck, picturesque bridge, and rolling hills beyond. The twin and king-size bedrooms are on the first floor and boast sliding barn door wardrobes and share a gorgeous family bathroom. Make your way up to the second floor to find another beautiful king-size bedroom with exposed beams and unique candle stone, and a luxurious en suite with a free-standing bathtub and a separate rain-head shower. Snuggle up in the fluffy duvets and drift off into relaxed slumber.

Outside you can enjoy the pretty little private terrace with your nightcap or morning cup of tea while listening to the beck and soaking up the serene scenes of the Yorkshire Dales that surround you. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family holiday, or just a relaxing retreat, Beckstones House will call you back time and time again.

A traditional stone-built market town with many independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as a farmer's auction and traditional market, Hawes is a real gem of the Yorkshire Dales. Nestled within Upper Wensleydale, it's famous for its award-winning Wensleydale cheese factory, which has been making Wallace and Gromit's beloved cheese since the 16th Century.

The surrounding scenery is absolutely stunning and is regarded as one of the best walking areas in the country. Pull on your boots and explore the likes of the Pennine Way or the Snaizeholme Red Squirrel Trail at Widdale, where you can see the furry creatures in their natural habitat - binoculars are a must!

The children will love the Dales Countryside Museum and National Park Centre, complete with steam locomotives and interactive exhibits, while Gayle Mill, a Victorian Sawmill, offers the chance to see working turbines and live demonstrations. Take a trip to Hardraw Force, England's highest single-drop waterfall and star of the film Robin Hood, and Aysgill Force waterfall for scenes of dramatic beauty.

Further afield is the town of Leyburn, walk the Shawl in the footsteps of Mary Queen of Scots or visit Castle Bolton for a spot of majestic history. For the energetic, country pursuits such as cycling, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, and water sports are all available to add some adventure to your stay. You will be spoilt for choice when staying at Beckstones House as whatever the season, there is plenty to see and do. One stay will never be enough.
