Located in the heart of the pretty Cotswold village of Longborough, The Old Chapel has been lovingly converted into a one-of-a-kind home and boasts contemporary design while retaining the character of its incredible original features.

Dating back to 1839 this charming restoration now provides a warm and welcoming retreat at any time of the year.

The beautiful Cotswold stone exterior has two stunning arched windows to the front, as well as a pretty outside dining-area where you can enjoy a glass or two in the warmer months with family and friends and take in enviable views of the neighbouring countryside. Carefully thought-out planters enclose the outside space, offering a touch of privacy. The addition of olive trees and terracotta pots create a lovely Mediterranean feel.

Stone steps lead up to the impressive arched oak door to the front. Inside you are greeted by an elegant entrance hall, exposed stonework and shades of moss and sage create a sense of peace and calm, whilst being a practical space to remove muddy wellies and collect logs for the fire after a day exploring the countryside.

To the right, a few steps lead down to a pretty double bedroom complete with en suite shower-room. Sumptuous throws and soft furnishings will invite you in, whilst quirky reclaimed pieces of furniture add a lovely twist. Further along the hallway you will find a spacious bright shower-room where you can freshen up before your evening meal.

The focal point of the property has to be the mezzanine floor set below an impressive high-vaulted ceiling and above the open plan living area. The arched windows adorned in opulent fabrics frame a traditional wood-burner. This tranquil living space has been thoughtfully curated to give a sense of luxury and grandeur. It really is the perfect place to spoil yourself with the finer things in life, so snuggle up with your loved one and indulge in a romantic weekend.

The second bedroom is situated off the dining-area and next to the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast-bar. The open plan design creates an inviting social space where you can decant the day's events over an aperitif whilst preparing your evening meal.

Stairs lead you up to the mezzanine floor which has been fitted out with the top of the range Bang and Olufsen technology and an expansive sofa to create the perfect TV room. Ideal for evenings in or rainy days, when you can grab the popcorn and immerse yourself in your favourite movie.

The main bedroom is also located on the first floor and is certainly fit for a queen. It features a beautiful free-standing bath on a raised marble-effect platform and has an attractive arched window making the room bright and serene. The bed is snuggled behind a swooping draped curtain and there is plenty of wardrobe space and a dressing area. Mind your head as you step out through a low door to a delightful sun terrace. Complete with a free-standing swing chair, it is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee whilst looking out across the quaint village rooftops.

The Old Chapel was featured in Cotswold Life Magazine, Summer 2023 edition.
